Manfred W. Yu
Managing Partner

Manfred Yu, based in Toronto, joined CAI in 1994. He was previously an Associate at New Street Capital Corporation, where he analyzed and structured investments in leveraged equity, mezzanine debt, public and private high-yield debt and distressed bank debt. Prior to joining New Street Capital, he was a Financial Analyst for Merrill Lynch & Co.'s Investment Banking Group.

Mr. Yu has been active in the due diligence, structuring, negotiation and consummation of many of CAI's investments, including DynaPlas Ltd., Country Style Food Services Inc., Livingston International Inc., SafeGuard Health Enterprises, Inc., MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. and Shred-Tech Corporation. He has also been active in working closely with management teams to improve their businesses. In addition, Mr. Yu has been responsible for the administration of Fund II and, in December 2001, opened CAI's Toronto office. He currently serves as a Director of DynaPlas Ltd., Country Style Food Services Inc., Shred-Tech Corporation and Plastube Inc. Mr. Yu was formerly an advisor to the Board of Livingston International Inc. and a Director of MIST Inc.

Mr. Yu received a B.A. from Stanford University.
