Rick Martens, George Michel and Michael Vels Appointed
to the Board of Directors of Country Style Food Services Inc.
Richmond Hill, Ontario — March 6, 2007 — Country Style Food Services Inc. is pleased to announce that Rick Martens, George Michel and Michael Vels are joining Pierre Lortie and Peter Gottsegen as members of the Board of Directors.
Rick Martens is President and Chief Financial Officer of Country Style Food Services Inc. and has been with Country Style since January 2002. Prior to that he was Chief Financial Officer of Interwood Marketing Group; Chief Financial Officer of Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc.; Vice President Finance of Cineplex Odeon Corporation; and held various senior management positions with American Express Canada, Inc. Mr. Martens is a Chartered Accountant, articling with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., a predecessor of KPMG, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
George Michel is COO Global Markets of Brinker International. Mr. Michel was previously Senior Vice President & Managing Director — Middle East & Asia at Burger King Corporation; President of Burger King Restaurants of Canada Inc.; President & Chief Executive Officer of A & W Restaurants Inc.; served on the Board of Directors of Yogen Früz; and Vice President, Operations, Real Estate and Construction of A & W Food Services of Canada Ltd.
Michael Vels is Chief Financial Officer of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and also Chief Financial Officer of Canada Bread Company, Limited. Mr. Vels received his Chartered Accountant designation in South Africa in 1985, while articling with a major accounting firm. He then worked for several years in the United Kingdom, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. In 1991, shortly after transferring to Canada, Mr. Vels joined Maple Leaf and was appointed to his current responsibilities in March 2004.
